Kate GarnerKate Garner is a life-long Iowan. She’s been doing the radio thing since 1985 at Valley High School. That’s where her passion for news began; she wanted to be Walter Cronkite or, more likely, Murphy Brown. She lives in the Drake Neighborhood with three furry children – cats Obi-Wan, Nora Charles and Mikhail. Pam DixonPam Dixon is a Des Moines Native who has been the voice of Des Moines for almost 30 years. She can be heard weekday morning on Maxwell and Pam in the Morning on 93.3 KIOA! Over the years she’s been heard on countless radio and TV commercials and was the first woman to announce an I-Cubs game at Sec Taylor Stadium. Pam and her daughter, Maddie, live in West Des Moines.
 

Cynthia FodorCynthia Fodor is a Travel Writer and Co-Anchor on KCCI TV news. has won a number of awards from the Iowa Associated Press and the Iowa Broadcast News Association. Over the years, she has served on the Arthritis Foundation Board of Directors and does volunteer work for several charities.Cynthia enjoys reading, jogging and playing tennis, but she spends most of her spare time with her son, Jake.
 

Mary DayMary Day is the mother of four children and grandmother of seven. She has been in radio for over 20 years, getting her start at the age of 40. She is having the time of her life playing great songs for you on 1350 KRNT. She loves her job and hearing from and meeting KRNT listeners.

 
Colleen Kelly-Powell grew up in Lockport, Illinois. Her first stint on radio was that of a newswoman. However, after a slew of mispronounced words, they moved her to mornings. She joined Big Ken and Star 102.5 in 2000. Colleen lives in Waukee with her two cats Fatty and Sassy…oh yeah, and her husband Justin. If you’re outside, you’ll probably spot Colleen riding her bike or running, as she is a fitness enthusiast.

Maxwell SchaefferMaxwell Schaeffer is an avid hockey fan, having played in his youth, and serves as the P.A. announcer for the Des Moines Buccaneers. His voice and face grace local, regional and national radio and TV advertising, and his passion for theater has been displayed as both actor and director at Stagewest Theater Company and the Playhouse in Des Moines. Maxwell feels “blessed” to be approaching 25 years of marriage to this wife, Karen, while his sons, Jon and Alex, provide a wealth of good family times! His avocations include singing and songwriting, gardening, home improvement projects, golf and a love of BBQ.
 

Liz NeadLiz Nead is the owner of Nead Inspiration. Raised by Indian Immigrants in Minneapolis, she first turned her back on what she knew, put it all back together and now lives through the power of her game, vision and network.
